1990 Golf Mk 2 genuine Gti 1.8, 5spd. Australian delivered
Original delivery documentation and service books as well as numerous receipts from day of purchase.
Selling due to opportunity to purchase an Audi S3 at a cheap price from a friend and not viable to have two cars.
NO RUST
Following work has been carried out over my ownership from front to rear:
New amber front foglights
New indicators
New radiator hoses
New battery
New front and rear engine mounts
New timing belt
New water pump
Oil and filter change
New air filter
New clutch cable
New o rings installed in fuel injectors
New coolant
New heater core
Front strut brace
New plugs and leads
New gearbox oil
New front a arms and bushes
New balljoints
New front swaybar links and rubbers
New inner and outer cv joints on passenger side
New CV boots on drivers side (re-greased)
New brake discs all round
New brake pads all round
New G60 brake master cylinder
New JOM coilovers (original struts are in good condition and will be included)
New gearbox linkage bush kit
New door handles
New fuel filter

Car is very tidy and well serviced, all work done less than 5000km ago. Will be sold with Simmons B45s, second set of multispoke gold wheels will also be included. Wheel arches removed and early mk2 spats installed - will come with original wheel guards and side skirts. Car drives nicely and presents as seen in photos. Heater core was replaced and works perfectly, though the AC will require regassing if that is something you want. All original parts will be included in the sale. Please note: reverse idle gear is chipped, resulting in “clacking” sound when reversing - though this is a common MK2 issue and does not affect the operation of the car as noted on numerous forums.

Chasing $3800 or very near offer, though willing to sell for less without B45s, rego expires end of October 2016

It's really nice man, and you'll sell it very quickly for sure at that price. I just think I'm going to wait patiently for a 3DR to come up for sale at a reasonable price!
