And I think $3,800 is a fair price
The time is coming where I get sick of paying for 4 registration bills in the same month every year and I can only drive one at a time... so I'm playing with the idea of selling the Golf (and my motorcycle, and two sedans).
Car is located south of Brisbane.
Info
- 8v 1.8L
- 5 speed M/T
- Aircon (as is common with these it's not currently working)
- Silverline Coilovers
- mk3 larger brakes (front)
- Short shift kit
- Approx 270,000km
- Have owned since Dec 2012
Small hole in driver seat bolster
Recently replaced blown ECU and running perfectly after some tender loving care from my local VW specialist
Here are a couple, I'll get some freshes ones up soon.

Sold pending payment and delivery. Had lots of interest and really don't want to see it go but at the same time I can't wait to see what the new owner does with it.
Cheers
Back up for sale
$3500 firm, as is, no RWC no Registration
Items needed for RWC are:
- fix small exhaust leak
- get 5spd shift pattern for the cabin
- fit rear wiper
Has recently started showing signs of a fuel filter needing replacement, info in the build thread.
I've put a deposit on a new car so I don't have room for this in the garage any more.
PM me for my mobile number/email address.
Cheers,
Josh

Bump, new car will be here in a couple of weeks and I'd like to have my garage back.
As much as the price says firm, make an offer. The worst I can do is say no.
Clean looking Mk2.
Free bump from me.

Nope... first time it was posted had about 6 people asking me about it in 3 days.
$3,200
Currently registered and driving around in it, can be driven to you before removing plates etc.
I dare say you'll get a sale at that price.
New Top Gear episode had a mk2 golf in it. Jeremy Clarkson driving it hard, I'm sure everyone will want a mk2 now
