Anybody tried any of the waxes?

I'm a bit of a gold class (maguiars) fan, but I was wondering how this stuff compares.

Gold class is pretty good (I love it in fact) as it's got some very light polishing compounds in along with the wax - but I am really curious what a $300+ wax will buy you in terms of quality..

Is that actually a positive? I thought the point of wax was to build up a layer of protection, not to take more clearcoat off the car...
    Nothing to see here...

It's very hard to compare a Meguiars 'wax' to a high quality real wax like Swissvax or Dodo Juice etc. Main reason for this is because the percentage of natural Carnuba wax found in the waxes off the Supercheap shelf are very very low. The high quality waxes have a much stronger amount of Carnuba wax, and offer better protection and durability than the lesser quality ones.

I favour Dodo juice waxes, but I haven't used Swissvax so can't comment on them. I do know they're good though!

No its got fillers in it which hide the swirl marks.

There is no comparison between the two. Swissvax will kill the gold class.

Personally i prefer the value of the Dodo wax. but either one will leave you amazed.

Its also worth noting that for best results from either brand you should use their pre wax cleanser before the first application.

Like a couple of others have said it is like comapring a 3 legged donkey with Makybe Diva - they are both the same animal but have very different appearance and performance!

I have used a number of the Swissvax products including their waxes such as Concorso, Saphir, Zuffenhausen - they are excellent quality and offer great results if the preparation is good (polished and cleaner fluid) The blend of premium carnauba wax and natural oils is similar to those of Dodo Juice and both brands offer exceptional results, only possible by these mostly natural products.

A wax such as this will always offer better looks than a synthetic product, however surface preparation is a big key.
