Ceramic Brake Pads for clean wheels

Ceramic Brake Pads for clean wheels-20171120_142931-jpg

Are you driven nuts by trying to keep your wheels clean from the black crud that comes off your oem pads?

I switched to ate ceramic pads and the difference is amazing

The pink cloth was used on 1 wheel (i used to use 1 for each wheel)after 1 week of driving

The blue cloth has been used to wash all 4 wheels (and calipers) after 3 weeks of driving!

The dust is much less its a light grey not black and does not stick to the wheels comes off really easy

The brake pedal feel is different from stock some dont like it(i do) but the reduction in dust and ease of cleaning your shiny alloys is just amazing
Check (if you live in usa): Cvs Weekly Ad, or CatalogueAU.

If you used ATE Ceramic pads, then the brake pedal should feel the same as the original pads when fitted correctly. You should always fit the ceramic pads on the new discs not the used/contaminated ones.

By a different feel i mean that the ceramics don't have the initial bite that the oem pads do the pedal is still the same and the brakes pull you up just fine
But some don't like the lack of 1st up bite does not bother me at all

You are correct new zimmerman discs were fitted at same time as pads

    I'm a big fan also.
Certainly makes a huge difference to the effort required to keep wheels clean.

I don’t have to use wheel brush anymore. The high pressure cleaner is enough and wash the wheels with sponge only when I rotate them.

That’s good info, I’m about to pull the trigger on dba T3’s with ATE ceramic pads.

Great to hear some first hand reports on the ATE Ceramics. It was a toss up between these or some Remsa pads for the Jetta.
My OEM pads and discs are very "grabby" so if the ATE are less so, then that's better. Our Fabia brakes are much easier to modulate than my Jetta

Ceramic Brake Pads for clean wheels

Ok just purchased front and rear ATE Ceramic Pads, I just want to confirm I have the right ones for my Golf R. Also should both fronts have the wear sensor, only one of the pads has the sensor?
