Windshield Wiper Quirk while in use - GTI MK7.5

    Hi All,

Just noticed a quirk with my windshield wipers. When the wipers are on, it sweeps across the screen and back to its 'almost' home position. On the next sweep, it goes back to home position and then sweeps across the screen.

Has anyone noticed this on their Golf? Is it normal or is there something wrong with the wipers?

If you are referring to the slightly different positioning around the "home" position, that is designed in so the wiper blades don't get a set from always stopping in the same orientation. Clever clogs these VW designers/engineers (and they get it right most of the time).

Thanks. That may be it. So it is not a problem rather a feature!

Yes, notified same in my MY19R, on most startups, the wipers shift a bit with a small pop noise.
