Did that with my Tiguan and no it was too wide and wouldnt go down into the wheel well far enough

Does anyone know if a full sized Mk 7.5 Golf R rim/tyre fit under the boot floor of the Golf R wagon?
I've had a number of punctures, cracked rims etc and would rather have a full sized spare instead of relying on the temporary spare tyre (especially if the issue affects the front tyre/rim).
Has anyone gone down the full sized spare tyre route?

So a full sized alloy rim and tyre spare will fit perfectly under the floor in a Golf R wagon. I'll upload photos when I get a chance.
