    Paddle shifter replacement

Hey guys, I'll soon be picking up my golf R (2020 demo) and am looking to replace the paddle shifters. I'd love the S2TPP paddles, though for roughly $500 aud it's probably a bit much.

Wondering if anyone has tried the paddles from v-tech aus in Melbourne for $100?

They don't look as nice in my opinion, but for 1/5th the price I'm certainly interested to try...

If anyone has got some and has some real world feedback it would be greatly appreciated...

    Cheers!

The ones from VTech are pretty new to the market so you might not find much feedback just yet. But they do look pretty decent for the price. Another option which look quite nice in my opinion are the CTS ones although these are stick on ones. CTS TURBO MK7 VOLKSWAGEN GTI/GOLF R DSG PADDLE SHIFT EXTENSIONS

The S2TPP ones are nice but the price is silly for a few small pieces of metal.

I ordered some Leyo paddle shifters from Autoinstruct this week, I thought about the stick on ones but in the end decided on these (grub screw fit) as I can remove & sell if i change cars. They were not cheap reduced to $210 when ordered and Autoinstruct have a flash sale save 10% today

The Leyo ones look nice. I have a few Leyo parts on my Mk7 GTI and the quality of their products is really nice. Their packaging is top notch too - a shame to throw it out.

I bought some from aliexpress (complete replacement, not stick-on) much much cheaper and worked fine. Was years ago so I haven't got the link, sorry.

I’ve got the S2TPP ones ages ago from a group buy, they’re amazing but prices have gone up & without group discounts they’re $$$

If you can get aluminium complete replacements from AliExpress, that might be the best bet…

Or organise your own group buy for S2TPP, that’s how I got mine

Thanks Shauno, mind if I ask the process of starting a group buy? Try get people interested first, or just approach S2TPP directly and ask what would be required?

    Both!

Cheap with S2TPP to see if they’ll do it & confirm price/qty

Then ask on a few forums/locations to get interest
