Check oil warning fault? Alltrack 132tsi
Driving yesterday and the check oil warning message appeared. Got home, checked the oil level after it cooled down, and it was basically dead centre in the safe zone. So there’s no excessive oil burning occurring, no leaks, and I replaced the oil and filter about 10 months back. Service due in December. 107k on the odometer.
Is this likely to be a sensor fault or is there something more sinister at play?
The 1.8tsi in this model hasn’t got any known issues as far as I’m aware?
I’ve experienced the dreaded cylinder ring fault in a previous Skoda Octavia 1.8tsi which eventually killed my engine, so I’m especially wary of any issues relating to oil consumption.
Any advice welcome.
