My Driver Assistance Package is missing things.

I took delivery of my new Golf R the other day and have noticed the diver assistance package dose not include the traffic jam assist and emergency assist that became standard on the MY18.5 golfs...
To my understanding these became standard in the package after CW 45 2017... mine was built in CW 2 2018...
Can the dealership do a software update or is hardware missing as well???
    What can I do????

Last time I asked VW they said they are disabling this on AU cars. Even if you are has the required hardware dealers are not enabling it. (This was via VW Facebook so grain of salt)

Though it seems it's enabled for some.

Those items are still listed in the configurator on the website. I think I'd be looking for some kind of compensation from VW if the items you'd paid for aren't going to be enabled.

What leads you to think TJA is not activated, it has no switch and can't be turned off unless active lane guidance is turned off

So I was thinking the exact same thing today. I only just reactivated Adaptive Lane Guidance to see how TJA works and I’m fairly confident my November 2017 build, MY18 Wolfy wagon doesn’t have it. The Volkswagen Australia website states it should, but I can’t get t to work.

From my undertanding; it should essentially steer, brake and accelerate the vehicle in slow moving traffic, and even set off again after a momentary standstill. I tested this tonight at the ICB roadworks and nope, it definitely wasn’t giving me steering wheel feedback despite having conspicuous lane markings available.

The only indication of TJA is the two green lines at bottom of the dashboard display stay green under 67kph. To activate the two green lines ACC and ALG need to be activated and a cruise speed set above 67kph. You must be in traffic and following another car and allow your car to slow down by the ACC controlling the car and matching the speed of the car in front, if you brake manually then the ACC/TJA cuts out.

I'd be pretty pissed if after a service my car came back with less features than it left the factory with.

From what I’ve read, Traffic Jam Assist is intended for crawling speeds when the ALG and ACC is activated, below 60km/h.

I found this link that demonstrates the TJA well on a European Tiguan and I can guarantee that it doesn’t work on my car.

Edit: I just reread the article on the VWA website and it specifies that the speed needs to be set bwteeen 0 and 60 - maybe this is where we’ve been going wrong?

Isn't traffic jam assist basically "adaptive cruise control" for under 60kph?

Yes, all it adds is steering under 67kph and that is it.
