MK7 TSI 1.4 Blend Door Actuator

Hi guys, I have a thing where when I turn my ac above 26 degrees the center consoles air will mostly stop moving through and I'll only get air from my side vents. A quick google says it's the blend door actuator. I've reset the flaps and don't get any error in OBD11 nor do I hear any noise.
Does anyone know where the blend door actuator sits in our golfs? I can't seem to find a youtube video where it's on a right hand drive car. There are some videos showing it on the driver side and some on the passenger side in the glove box.
    Mine is a 103kw 1.4 Highline.

    Thanks

    Clinton: Hi.

Hmm...... I'm not familiar with your term "blend door actuator" - I don't think that it's a set-of-words that VW uses (no offense intended).

Anyway - from your description of the problem, I suspect that there could be a few components in the Air-Con unit that might be worth looking-at. I suggest that you start your diagnostic investigations by reading THIS

Thanks for the reply Don, yes I think the actual name is the
    Temperature flap control motor

It's this piece he is holding I think as he has the exact same issue.

Do you know where I can find access to it on my car? I can't see it after removing the glovebox or near my drivers kick panel which is what I've seen on youtube. All the links I see online or videos on youtube are for LHD where i'm trying to find where it is on a RHD golf.

    Thanks

clinton: OK - if you are sure that is the piece!

To access the Temperature flap control motor on a RHD car, you just need to remove the center console trim in the footwell (the trim on the side of the console body. Below is a picture of the trim on a LHD car (I couldn't find the equivalent for a RHD car):

    Then follow the instructions HERE
