Anyone got any advice for running the car in? Picking her up this week.

Drive it like I stole it? Drive like a granny? All of the above or somewhere in between?

So many varied views on the matter! Thanks

    So many indeed
Just drive it normal without thrashing it
    To death
Don't be afraid to let it pull out towards redline babying it is as bad as thrashing it
    Enjoy your new toy congrats

Drive it gently until the oil is warmed up, then vary the revs and throttle openings until at least 500km (no red-lining initially). As little idling as practical (and definitely not sitting there idling to warm up the engine).

    Hi all

Looking forward to buying a mk7.5 GTI (hopefully white!) in the coming months.

Would you rather a MY19 with no options or the MY17/18 with the luxury pack?

The electric seats would be really handy as my wife and I will be sharing the one car, and I like the look of the sunroof from the outside. On the other hand, the standard equipment of the MY19 looks great but the budget probably can’t stretch to add the luxury pack - I’m thinking $40-41K or so.

Also can anyone speak to the practicalities of the Golf with a baby? The wife needs some convincing that we don’t need something larger like a Tiguan...

    Thanks in advance
