Mk7 Golf GTI Discussion Thread

Hi All,

The GTI Performance has larger front and rear brakes than stock GTI....so would there be different ABS (antiskid) settings to compensate or can you just throw on larger brakes and all is good????

I was playing music from a USB pen in my GTI and the satnav obviously interrupts the music to give you directions but I decided that I didn't need the satnav directing me anymore and just wanted to listen to my music but couldn't find out how to stop the satnav.

So can someone tell me how to stop the satnav after it's started giving you directions.

You could also turn the sat navigation volume all the way down. It displays directions visually but not audible. Also a muting music level should be turned down.

Cheers for that, it worked as you said.
When the navigation is running, you select the Route option on the screen (bottom left) and the 1st option on the pop-up menu allows you to stop the route navigation.


The previous owner had left all his routes on the satnav and I wanted to delete some of them but not all.
I looked in the book (useless) and in the satnav screen I found an option to manage memory.
This allowed me to delete all the stored routes but not selected ones so do you know how to delete a single route that has been stored on the satnav? :?

No need to reply, I found out how to delete a single route on another forum.

Another pretty awesome thing is to get all the Points of interest of speed cams and red light cams into your unit. Even with navigation off it would beep to alert you. I'll try and find the link.

Hi,

I did post this in one of the sticky threads but hasn't had any responses. What's the going rate on NEW GTIs and Rs at the moment? VW sales are down for 2016 and Golf sales are down almost 20%. Dealers must be making some deals?
