    MIB1 Discover Media Firmware Updates

I've done my maps updates for the year, all good, but does anyone have any instructions/downloads for confirmed genuine firmware updates for MIB1 (5G0035846A)? Or know any Australian based service providers, other than dealers, that will sell genuine firmware upgrades? Or any providers at all?

There are a few annoyances that have been happening more regularly, or that I've put up with for years that I've love fixed:
    - Random play on the SD card turns itself off every 7 to 120 days. Sometimes just the light goes off, but it's still playing randomly, but eventually it starts playing sequentially.
    - Twice a year it's just not happy with the SD card. Best fix is to remove the SD card and put it into the other slot (swap maps and music cards).
    - If you turn off the car while in NAV, then music will play quite quickly upon restart. If you turn off the car while in Music, then it will take much longer to play upon restart.

    Thanks.

I know this is MIB2, but may have relevant files in the upload cache in the description.

Does anyone know if any change logs for firmware revisions on these units?

Beyond bug fixes (I haven't seen any in mine), is there any improvement in newer versions?

    I just updated my 2013 103 Highline ( SD card V2)
fFirst you need to download the zip file P57….7z ( from the VW website) onto a PC, don’t use Mac because it’s not working ( for me )
Unzip the file then copy to your VW SD card
Plug the SD card to slot 1, turn the ignition on. It’ll update
Somehow, the P57….7z is the latest update but it is only 2020

That is a MAP update The thread is about FIRMWARE upgrades.. You can unzip it directly to the SD card and save a step and time.
