    918 prototype

Please put some clothes on it...i'm getting aroused!

Porsche 918 Spyder: the quickest, richest and greenest Porsche ever | Car Advice

It may look a little raw, but the prototype in these images will soon give life to the fastest, most fuel-efficient and most expensive Porsche in history: the Porsche 918 Spyder.

With official details filtering through ahead of its 2013 unveiling, the Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercar looks set to take efficient motoring to an almost inconceivable level.

The 918 Spyder draws its power from three sources: a mid-mounted 425kW-plus 4.6-litre V8 engine, a 90kW hybrid module on the rear axle and an 80kW electric motor on the front axle. Its combined output will be in excess of 574kW, with peak torque above 750Nm.

You can also see the unsual exhaust exitting upwards above the rear engine. Close you eyes and the scream of the exhaust just behind your head should be quite arousing too!!

    "is there a problem, officer?"

''yes - you shifted into second gear. ergo, you were speeding. enjoy your fine."

I think you're missing the point

using that rationale all cars are useless given you can break the speed limit in anything

In default mode, the 918 Spyder will be able to run purely on electricity for up to 25 kilometres, and its 6.2kWh battery pack can be recharged from a conventional powerpoint in four hours. Porsche will also supply a compact rapid charging station that will do the job in just two hours.
heheheee. I wonder how many people will leave it in the default setting?
