Hi Greg, as soon as Simon has someone lined up in Sydney, I'll be jumping on this and will definitely report how it goes. Quite happy with how the Passat 1.8TSI drives, but a bit more torque wouldn't go astray along with a smoother DSG shift down low.

    Sydney dealers?
Also, I assume u only tune euro marques and not Japanese brands. I have a hilux 3.0d sr5 that would love a tune to improve economy. Test mule?

    Hi Walbjj

No we specialise in Euro marques - however have a growing range of pretty much everything else. We cover a lot of the JDM Diesels, however don't do much of the Toyota ranges on a remap.

We do have a TDI-Box unit which holds 10 pre-set digital mapping files and can get good results, but it's never going to be as good as a true remap. For example, they can't alter torque loadings - which is a Viezu speciality. But you'll still see good gains over the existing curves, and good economy improvements.

We're certainly testing them as we speak so if you'd like to try one we can get one out to you for feedback (please bounce us an email and we'll sort something out for you)

Sydney really is very close - just dotting i's and crossing t's shouldn't be long. Have a lot of clients stacked up for syndey....

That's a shame cos there r literally thousands of the hilux engines out there and most of them r pretty average. Standard reflash type.
It's a huge market, most of the players r chip-it, steinbauer, dP.

For sure. We're working on it... But nothing in the very near future. We do loads of the other JDM diesels but toyota is the missing link - and we get a hell of a lot of enquiries on them from all over Aus'...

Watch this space ! But happy to do our equivalent 'box' in the mean time. We still need feedback on them as an interim solution. Feedback so far is great - faster, smoother, more economic. Kind of like an unsophisticated remap where the tuner has no idea on the deeper unlocks or understanding of loading limiter nor how to control them - but you still get decent results so they're a good interim solution.

They're still covered under our 100% satisfaction guarantees, insurance and 24/7 tech support though etc etc.

    cheers

As Simon will tell you though through personal experience, the toyota diesel motor, especially the 3L turbo diesel, is a time bomb when it comes to tuning. It's a very comlex engine to get safe an useable power out of, which is why those companies you have mentioned just over-fuel the engine and wind up the boost to compensate. One hilux both Simon and I know of is on it's 3rd set of injectors in 10,000kms after being "tuned". At ~$250 per injector, ontop of the cost of the tune and associated fuel costs..... Just buy a d40 navara 550 if power is required, or wait for the Petrol amarok with the 2litre turbo motor

    Hi guys

Sorry for the delay we've been having nightmare issues with our computers and server here this week - all sorted now though so back to business.

Andych - I've just emailed you so apologies for the delay in that too.

Sydney is sooo close - will post on here the second we're launching.

    cheers

    Simon

ps - GAVS !! Yes - whoever tuned that thing ... Maybe we should hurry up our R&D on them to meet demand I think and show them how it's done (!)
