ATTN: Mk1 Golfers! (Lower stress tie bars)

    Hey Lads and Ladies,

After far too long, I have finally sorted these.

(Sorry about the crappy pic- Will get better ones)

These are made from 25mm diameter 2.5mm wall thickness seamless steel tube. The CNC machined ends are weld prepared and TIG welded.

Kits will come with longer control arm bolts, 12mm rose joints and 12mm nuts.

Colour shown is satin black. We can provide you with a different colour, or leave the bar in undercoat only at your request.

Kits will be priced at $160.00 incl. GST and delivery.

If you are interested, please show it.

    Cheers,

    -Chris.

Can I ask why you have gone for rose joints rather than a solid mount design?

This makes them adjustable. No Mk1 is identical.

There are many stress bars out there, past and present for various cars in various applications with a similar design. Solid mounting makes little to no difference as this is under tension during cornering.

I have also made strut braces this way in the past (one was fitted to a Mk1 Escort race car- The change allowed them to pick up .5/second due to the increase cornering and braking stability) that worked very effectively.

    G'day GPW.

All sold, unfortunately. But I'll be ordering some more material and making a run of them again very soon.

Sorry, lads. I haven't. I need to! I'll try and put it on the 'to do' list. Been very busy of late with other jobs.
