    Auto Oil Dripping off Bellhousing.

    Hi.

@ 13500kms (2021 Crafter) I changed my engine oil and filter, removed the plastic under tray, and what we dont want to see on a new vehicle is droplets of oil hanging off the bellhousing.
Auto trans oil, dripping off the lower engine mount strut that hangs of the bottom of the bellhousing, facing north south.
it appears to be coming out of the threaded holes of the engine mount as there was no sign of a path to the drips. the tray and sound dampener only had a small collection of oil, about the size of a tennis ball.

    Anyone...??

    Steve.

If you sure it’s coming from the inside of the bell housing , it could be the torque converter oil seal. Either the way it’s a warranty job, get it done sooner than later make sure they have all the parts in stock, before they start.

Just get VW to do it and then they have to warrant it.
If they stuff it, they fix it.
I do all my bakes with Genuine parts but they do the rest.
Once the 5 year warranty ran out on my T5, I've done the rest bar the flywheel/clutch because I had to go for a heart operation!
