Loud squeak on acceleration in lower RPM with cold start

    Hello everyone,

i am hoping if anyone has experienced this issue and could shed some light on it, i recently had waterpump replaced on my 2015 jetta 1.4tsi, 2-3 days later new sound developed and i’ve taken it to mechanic to troubleshoot it but he is saying he can’t replicate the sound because by the time i take my car to mechanic it’s hot and sound goes away. After being persistent and showing him video he agreed to look at the car and called me telling me that my turbo wheel is hitting the casing and needs to be redone and quoted about $2200. Then i took to other mechanic which tries to troubleshoot it and again couldn’t replicate the sound hence couldn’t find the issue. No fault codes are present squeak happens every time i press accelerator and i can replicate it on my will when car is cold like overnight or 7-8 hours not driven. I’ve attached a video below i am hoping to see if anyone of you experienced this sound, could it be any belt, pulley, air pressure leaks or really turbo is dying (which I don’t believe).

Thanks mate, I’ve suspected this all along and mechanic just won’t accept that it is caused by magnetic clutch slipping on water pump, seems like i am gonna have to go through ombudsman route or something now.

ps i opened the intake pipe today and checked turbo shaft myself and it looks good as new nothing out of place.

Unfortunately it is a Euro specialist even has Euro in its name, but apparently just denying profoundly that it’s cause because I suspect he has put all the 4 hours Labour again. It is turning out to be pain to get this fixed.
