    high pressure fuel pump replacement

    Hi all,

I have a 2007 VW Jetta just purchased, and have noticed a small leak of diesel from the high pressure fuel pump. I have purchased a new one and will replace the old one.

My question is: After installing the new fuel pump, will the computer have to be reset? If so, are there any tips on how to reset it?

This is my first VW, so I don't have a lot of experience but looking for help and advice.

It's a constant flow pump. Just make sure you've got a jump battery on hand, because you'll probably have to crank the engine over for a bit to bleed the air out of the system before it will fire.
