    My New Jetta

    Howdy,

Thought i'd say hello and introduce my new Jetta 147.

Got fed up with the clutch issues of my 6r gti polo and ended up trading for this luscious lady.
Already have the APR intake on its way.

Going to keep it mild with a tune, VWR springs and possibly a rear muffler delete.

Congrats! White is always a great colour. Do you have anymore pics? How are you going to do the rear muffler delete? I find info on exhausts for Jettas extremely limited online.

Thanks mate, yeah there are a couple more around but I'll have to post them when I get home.

Also finding the exhaust info very limited online, there doesn't seem to be a very big modding scene for Jetta's. Nowhere near as much as the GTi's anyway.

I figure, I'll just have them remove the rear muffler and see how the noise is, if its too rice I'll get them to add an aftermarket muffler and see how that pans out.

I don't want it outrageously loud, just a nice pop under dsg would be nice.

When you get a chance search for Jetex exhausts. They seem to do a lot of work on VAG vehicles.

Have you gone to VWVortex? The Jetta is the best selling VW in the US, not the Golf. They have more mods for Jettas there than they do Golfs.

    My New Jetta

Hi welcome to the jetta family. I'm from the US and there's tons of stuff for your car. I used to drive a mk6 jetta 4 door sedan 2.5 liter NA engine which is now changed to a 1.8 liter here in the US. The 2.0 highline would be equivalent to our Jetta GLI. There are tons of stuff for your car. As far as exhaust you can check out APR tuning (they also make performance tune upgrades and intakes) AWE tuning, you can get custom exhausts made from Borla mufflers well. coilovers, springs and Air Ride kits are also available. Underwrapsautomotive is a company that I've dealt with as far as air suspension and vinyls. ECS tuning is another good source for products. Chip tuning companies would be unitronic, apr, giac, c3 motorsports but you may need to wait for the 2014-2015 model ecu upgrades. Hope this helps and good luck. Cheers.
