    2007 Beetle - Airbag Light

    Hi all,

I fixed a faulty seatbelt on our 07 Beetle about a month back (had to disconnect the yellow plug under the seat to get at it).

After reconnecting everything the airbag light has stayed on. I’ve checked the wires and connections. It appears I’m getting -1.76V.

From a bit o googling this might be a case of having a fault code removed, which I think requires a Vac-com or VCDS.

Anyone had a similar experience? And if I’m on the right track, does anyone have the gear to reset the code? Happy to buy a carton of beer or flick some cash for the hassle.

    Cheers

    John

If you disconnect anything yellow. Do it with the battery disconnected so the airbag controller doesn't see it.
You need a scan tool to clear it now. Vcds or something. Unless there's now a permanent fault.
