Would you choose the Pirelli edition 5 door in Sunflower Yellow?

Hello all. I was wondering what some of you thought about the Pirelli edition 5 door golf in sunflower yellow, vs any of the other colors.
Im about to order one and was unsure of it in 5 doors as the dealer did not have one in the yellow to show me.
I love the color in the 3 door as i think you can get away with it, but i'm wondering perhaps if its too much in the 5 door and going for another color.
It is after all a "special edition" and the sunflower yellow shows that nicely, what do some of you think ?

I look at it this way, but in the case of the Pirelli, I think it is a little different, because the Pirelli is a bit of a special edition. It has been found that yellow cars have some of the worst resale value, whereas Silver and Black cars of the equivilant model have the best resale values. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal choice, and it is your money you are spending.
I personally would go the Silver.

I hated the yellow to begin with, but it has grown on me.

The biggest things is the interior stitching is all yellow no matter what colour the exterior paint is....If i didnt get yellow it would be black for that reason, as imo too many colours kills the look

As mentioned above. It is a 'speciel edition' so true collectors or enthusiasts wouldnt care

When I bought the GT and chose white the salesman told me that it was one of the more popular colours now because of the safety factor (road visibility) I just prefer it because it's cooler in summer and is so much easier to touch up any chips or marks which are then virtually undetectable to the naked eye. Metallic colours are nice as well but once you get chips and scratches they are much more difficult to repair, it's even worse after a few years if you suddenly find yourself needing a bit of panel beating and spray painting done and trying to match the colour (even a good spray painter / paint mixer will tell you that) My personal opinion, I'd be looking at anything non metallic, nice and all as they look !!

I test drove a black Pirelli the other day. It had been sitting in the sun, and even though it had the rear hatch wide open to let the heat out it was very hot, and even after I had been driving along for a while I could feel the extra heat that black seems to attract, so black would be off my list if I lived anywhere it gets hot a lot. Also while black looks schmick when it is freshly clean, not everyone likes to be constantly cleaning their car.

I like a bright yellow car (eg my Octy wagon), but agree that not everyone does. IMHO the Pirelli yellow is a bit too insipid (but I like the yellow stitching and the tyre tread on the seats).

If you are looking at future resale value then silver or white seem to be the popular colours these days.

Would you think the same if you had test driven it in winter? Was it tinted?

Definitely agree with the resale comments of a yellow car. However as pointed out it is a special edition and as such the rules bend on this point. At the end of the day you are buying it for yourself and so whatever colour you are happy with you should go for. If you sacrifice a couple of g's for resale then so be it.

[That dark blue metallic looks great though!]

Obviously it wouldn't have been so hot if I had driven it in winter, but having driven several other black cars in summer I would still be concerned (particularly as I know that many VAG cars don't have outstandingly efficient air-conditioners).

I didn't take any notice of wheter it was tinted or not, as I was more interested in how it drove.

But it was noticeably hotter than my (yellow) Octy, both parked and driving along.

But in the final analysis, it is Edra's $$$ not ours, so our preferences are of lesser importance.
