Where can i buy a Car bra for R32 (mk5)?

    Hi all..
I need to buy a car bra to protect the bonnet from stone chips while doing highway. Anyone know how and where to get one?
This just for when i am doing highway, otherwise i'll take it off and leave it in the trunk...I know it looks ugly on the car but better be ugly then be stoned.
    Thanks

Why not use paint protection film?

These are Brisbane based but can give you idea of finish and price.

    www.ducoscratch.com.au
    www.theracingroom.com.au

Melbourne based is ozicozi www.ozicozi.com.au, whilst I haven't dealt with them I found them absolutely useless at giving a quote or answering emails, I emailed then quite a few times and rang them and they never bothered to quote despite me wanting to go ahead but others have had a good experience with them so worth a look.

The benefits are that you don't see the film except up close, it's always on the car, can protect against scrapes, is easily replaceable and doesn't look like absolutely crap like the car bras which scratch your paint as well.

Thanks mate...To be honest..I just dont really trust these films..If where you applied the film got scratched, would the paint comes off together with the film when i replace the film ?
In ther other hand, sunlight will make the paint change into 2 different shades?
and when we wash our cars, i dont want to just wash the film.

I got a quote through Robco Products( http://www.carbras.com.au/ )...I got the quote virtually straight away online, and got a pamphlet in the mail about 3 days later...For the Polo GTI it was going to cost me $300 in black.
"If can't get behind your troops, feel free to stand in front of them..."

On the ducoscratch website they show a car that hit a wall in the car park and only the film was damaged. If the damage is through the film the film will help to minimise the damage but at the end of day it will need a respray so it's only for more minor scrapes. The pain won't come off with the film unless the paint has a serious adhesion issue.

Sunlight won't change how the paint fades under the film.

You can wash the film along with the car, you don't need to do anything special.

No maintenance, no fitting of a car bra that can scratch your car and won't be on the car when you need it and doesn't cover things like door mirrors and you get 24/7 protection.

I've had mine on the car for almost 6 months now with no problems and there are plenty around with golfs who have had it on for years with problems. The film has a lifetime warranty as well.

I've ordered a white bra from Robco in Sydney for the Golf V, $500.

I was going to get those detachable car bras from Robco but decided against it for a number of reasons.
Firstly, I wanted as much protection on the car as possible to help minimise and prevent stone/debris damage all the time...not just on long trips etc etc.

    2. I didn't want the hassle of making sure the car was super clean/dry etc before I attached the car bra to the car.

    3. I think they look a bit silly.

    4. I believe they cause more damage to the car compared to actually protecting it.

I ended up going for the ozicozi product and found their service in Melbourne & Sydney to be excellent. I highly recommend the paint protection film and I will never own another car without the stuff. It's already done it's job, and you can see where stones/debris have skimmed pass the protection film. They have a lifetime warranty on their product as well.
In Sydney they were working on a Ferrari and also a DBS when I was there.

+1. I've got a clearbra on 3 cars and highly recommend it. I use www.invisiblecarbras.com.au - also in Melbourne.
