What did you do to your Mk5 today?

Temp probes pre and post intercooler. Comes complete with shredded forearms!

Had the R detailed today...so milky smooth! Pics to come.

I actually drove a mk5 golf today. (rather than my jetta)

Was a TDI dsg, leather, and 2000kms on the clock. One thing I noticed was the seats were higher, and that bit that everyone says isnt leather (which I know isnt normally...) was in this model. I think that is also the reason the seats were sitting higher. I must say, I didnt like it, I felt less protected, and less in control of the car.

The other thing HOW THE HELL DO YOU TDI GUYS PUT UP WITH IT!!! I was so glad to be back in the Jet with its petrol turbo goodness.

You should have found some hills to try and then you would know why us TDI guys love them soooo much :bowdown: :biggrin:

Yeah, my TSI Jetta isn't too far behind, torque wise. It just didnt feel as free. Maybe its still running in... Just they are way way more noisy. I couldn't put up with it day in day out. Give me more fuel stops every day!

Either way, I am so glad I got the Jetta over the golf, just a few little things are slightly different. And even more glad I didnt get leather.

i dont think that the seating position is that much higher - maybe the seat was raised on the side???

i love my TDI - only thing i would trade it in for would be a GTI or a R ...

Had the Golf fitted with the Waeco with the "CoolPower RAPS" fridge power kit.

Another step closer to the camper trailer.
