VW Golf Mk5 2005 TDI(BKD) rough idle when cold and cuts out

    Hi Guys

I had an issue with hard starting a month ago and decided to change the glow plugs after an error on the Vagcom and while doing that I cleaned the EGR valve.
Since cleaning the EGR and doing the glow plugs I have had an issue with rough idle when the motor is cold till reaching operating temperature.
There is what seems like a misfire at low speed when cold.
I decided to change the EGR and still no luck.

I've read that it could be the glow plug/injector harness but wanted to check before ordering one.
Hopefully you guys can give me some pointers.

    Thank you
    Frans

You'll need to scan it, to get some sort of direction.

    Hi Umai Naa
I've scanned it over and over with no errors.

If you've got VCDS, check the missfire log for each cylinder. That should narrow it down somewhat.

I connected it up and there seems to be no missfire log for a diesel in the Vagcom. I tried selecting all the channels.
Have changed the fuel filter which has made it a little better.
Do you think it could be a temp sensor as the fan seems to come on before the car is even 1/4?
