Hey guys,
New to the forums, recently picked up a 2004 MK 5 Golf 2.0 N/A FSI 6 speed manual. Got a bit of an issue that I was looking for some advice on a clutch issue.
It still works fine and engages/disengages gears fine but when you release it it stops about halfway and then I need to pull it back up by hand If i want to get it back to the top. It comes up to that halfway point by itself but then stops, it does this every time I put the clutch in and out. I've tried to research the issue and clutch issues seem pretty common but I've found heaps of things say slave cylinder, master cylinder or even the return spring on the pedal that's gone.
It looks like the spring is still all attached from a visual inspection but I haven't pulled the pedal off to have a look yet.
Not to sure where to go from here, if its a sign of the slave/master cylinder is on the way out? Any advice from some golf gurus would be appreciated.
