    Recall for fuel regulator

My 30K service B/W Mentone adv me that there was a fuel reg recall for my car.
Then when I picked the car up they said it didnt affect my car so no warranty needed on the part. This was all about 4 weeks ago.
Then on Friday I get a call saying it needs to be done and a booking was made.
Anyone else had this done...? Or know what the story is if any?

The thing is, the driveline is the one the thing that has been good and now they want to change **** on it when there have been no issues.
I dont really like it and i did mention this but they said it could void the warranty if its refused...So i gave him two more things that needed to be fixed which they said were fixed in the last two visits but suprise suprise they werent....

The fuel reg. is a recall. Can't remember the code sorry.

It should be replaced depending if your car fall's under the chassis # requirement's.

Dealer's do make mistakes as they are & we are, all human after all.

    Alittle update.

It's a 24M5 recall for the low pressure fuel sender unit on the injector pump.

They were a few car's of the production line that were prone to fail & cause the engine ECU light to come on & log a fault.

Also the chassis number read out on the recall print out can be alittle confusing too, so mistakes can be made sometimes.

    Hope this clear's it up.

Standard issue for every manufacturer when a new vehicle get's released!

Yeah this update was done on the latest A3 too way back in the piece and only affects a certain chassis range. Was a bugger to change from memory on the A3, tricky little spot to get at.
