New wheels Finally chosen, now to pick the colour.

    Hey Guys,

I have finally decided on getting some 18" VMR v710s but am unsure what colour to go with, Hyper Silver, Gunmetal or Matt Black.

I have a Black 5 Door GTI, what are your thoughts guys?

I had gunmetal on a white R36 wagon and I reckon it looked brilliant.

    Please don't go black.
Black on black is so played out now that is is a factory option.

    Go gunmetal in my opinion.

Bright green seems to be popular for the Bogans in Caboolture at the moment

    IMO

Black on Black doesn't work unless you get a near perfect match or you get two really different Blacks (eg: shiney car & matt rims).

Black & gunmetal just looks like you are trying to hide brake dust.

    I'd choose black & silver.

nb: I don't like black cars

If you don't like green or orange I'd go silver.

I'd go gunmetal or black as it's all about hiding the brake dust!

I wash my car and then drive it 5m back in to the garage and the wheels look like I've not cleaned them properly...

Having said that, my Tig's silver wheels look great and don't dust up anywhere near as badly as the GT.

Yeah one of the main reasons I wanted black or gunmetal was to help hide the brake dust, too many people do black on black and the gunmetal almost looks like they are dirty all the time. I like the crisp look from silver/machined wheels but the cleaning not so much.

I guess I will see how long I can keep em clean, Hyper Silver here we come...!!!

    Bring on the Brake Dust.............
