    My First Drive

My Brother in law just bought a late 2004 MKV FSI golf...

Being a MK1 owner, i just had to have a drive, so i took it for a spin around the block...
Big mistake- because now i want one!

The 6 speed manual was absolutely amazing- needless to say i didn't get into sixth... just everything was beautiful. It even sounds nice with the stock exhaust. Power steering, air conditioning, awesome brakes, good ride, and awesome handling as well!

I think i'll have to go test drive a diesel.

Anyway, that's my closest contact with a MKV to date, and i was greatly impressed.

Nice one. I've test driven a few Mk5s and owned a Mk4 GTI for 3 1/2 years, but have a hankering for a nice Mk1 project car one day. But am yet to drive one.

    Always the diesel LOL

    They are a awesome car.

I bought VW Performance a couple of weeks ago and they tuned up a diesel wasn't to bad just blowing a heap of smoke when it was hard acceleration.
