    Launch Control

I was trying launch control on my GT TDI 08 today, but it wouldnt rev above 1.2k. I had ESP off and switched to S mode and everything, but it just woundnt work.

Is this because my cars TDI or do i need a software upgrade? Does anyone know?

TDI doesn't have launch control and cannot have it enabled. Only the GT TSI and the GTI/R32 have it on the Golf.

I think you'll find that the immense amount of torque the TDI generates is so large that electrons can't move down copper fast enough to regulate the clutch and throttle in time.

    Oh well, swings and roundabouts...

It's because the slasher on the back can't lift fast enough when launch control is enabled

That's true as well, you don't want the tractor using launch control in a playground

I find mine launches fine when I push my right foot down hard and once you change into 2nd gear in these things and floor it you get launched backwards into the seat anyway

"Launch Control" it sounds like you're aiming for the moon, straight up

I am proud of my tractor. I am thinking of towing the old mans caravan this year. Why? Becasue I can.

Well I wouldn't want DSG anyway. It might do a reverse launch control into a forklift.
