Ipod Connection into a MkV Jetta/Golf

    Gday Everyone

I recently found this site and it is awesome.

I have just purchased a second hand Jetta FSI turbo 06 with 35000km and it is great. I suffer the oil consumption problem where I have to top up every 2000km from bottom to top but I can live with that. Done the tests at a few VW dealers but always the same result - within "parameters".

However, what starting to piss me off is my Vw ipod adapter, for some reason 50% of the time flicks only to the left speaker and a tapping noise appears on the right speakers!!! I tried to

    - test other ipods -same problem
    - turn off all equalisers - same problem
    - restore the ipod - same problem

    anyone have the same issue?

Maybe try it out while the car is stationary? Could be something loose on either end of the adapter or inside the adapter itself

If you've tested it on other iPods, so it can't be the iPod. Your problem is with something 'past' the the iPod - the connector or the head unit.

    Welcome, BTW
