Im with shannons and found they were more competitive and accepting of modifications.

We're with AAMI for $600 pa, Brisbane, both aged 34, full NCD. Used to be $850 for an S2000.

    One of the (few) advantages

It's no fun getting old... But once over 55 you can get cheaper insurance. I pay $380 per year for the Mk5 TDI with Australian Pensioners.

Shannons offered to throw in my Mk1s at a slightly higher cost. If I remember correctly it was ~ $30 more per year.

My Mk1, 1979. I went for third party property ...$175. Full comprehensive $210! Go figure. Postcode 4873 (far north qld), full no claims, all insurance (house, boat etc.) with nrma, and I have turned 30 twice now

Oh yeah, for what it's worth, Just Cars is the special cars division of AAMI.

Having just had my wifes car being repaired for 2 months by AAMI, and having to drop it back in on Monday for remedial work. I can't say I'd recommend them, poor attitude, slack customer service, and the worst excuses I've ever heard.

Wouldn't insure my mother in law's car with them.
