How much can I get a V for

Hello there Mkv'ers! Over the past few months I've grown increasingly fond of the MK5 golf, in particular white and or GTI's and oiler models.

I have been looking on carsales for vehicles, but how much can I get a MK5 for, preferably a Diesel or 2.0L fsi if anything else? The only other requirement is that it would have to be a manual, with a preference for a white car.

Has anyone seen any good V's around online or privately that can steer me in the right direction and give me the right idea on what to pay for a lovely V?

    Cheers, Branko

I paid $20700 for a 2006 black 2.0fsi manual comfortline with 8 months of warranty left on it in June. I had been looking for about 6 weeks and the seller said she'd never planned to let it go that low. I was lucky since car sales have in general slowed down a lot due to the overall economic times. The seller had tried to sell her car for several months.

If you look long enough and is good at haggling, I'm sure you can find a similar deal.

About 38000 kms. It's in very good condition, but I got the main clutch cylinder replaced under warranty a few weeks ago.

Thanks for that, great price I must say and I they will only go down from here which isn't a bad thing I'd love to get a 2.0TDI for that money when the time comes around in about 9 - 12 months...
