GTI springs on TDI

Today I fitted GTI springs onto my TDI, but I am getting a rattling sound from the front pair. I pulled my wheels off to have a look after about half an hour of tame driving to have a look, but i couldn't really put my finger on the problem. the springs had rotated a tiny bit in the shock perch, but after about 2 hours more driving, they had stayed the same.

Anyways, i believe the plate surrounding the bump stop at the top of the shock is a different size to a stock GTI item. Other than this rattling noise, the springs are performing very well. Can anyone give me some tips and/or pointers on getting rid of this rattling noise?

is it kosher to fit GTI springs on a TDI? when I booked in my coilovers Dragan said that they are different coilovers for the diesel due to different engine weight etc etc....

dunno could be contributing to the noise?
