    where to buy bumper strips

so my GF's car was damaged in the melbourne hail storm a while back and is going to get fixed up (panels replaced and a full respray of the car). Anyway i thought it would be a good opportunity to colour code the black bumper strip thing's on the side of the car/ front corners. The bodyshop guy said that he cant use the preexisting ones as they are textured and it looks crap when painting them, but he is happy to paint it free of charge as hes doing the rest of the car. Anyway he said he can get the parts for about 100 bucks each which sounds a bit pricy for a little bit of plastic.
So does anyone know where i can source these parts either o/s or locally?

    cheers

The bodyshop could just wet rubbed the bumper strip smooth with increasing fineness of sandpaper, then plastic prime it and paint it. You shouldn't have to buy new bumper strips at all, unless they were damaged. If you were to buy new ones, they would be the same textured plastic anyway.

ye i was thinking about just sanding them back to get a smooth finish, will have to ask him when i bring it in.
theyre weren't damaged in the hailstorm, but i think when you buy new ones there are two options, the textured ones for unpainted ones and the smooth primed ones ready to be painted.
