Anyone had a glitch in their MFD?

    Hi all,

I was driving to work today and my MFD went blank then drew a 10mm thick red line running vertically through the middle of the display. Lasted about 2 seconds then went back to normal. Anyone experienced something similar?
I got serviced last Fri and thinking maybe a plug is not in properly and lost contact somewhere.

That has happened 3 times on mine in 3.5 years but didnt last for more than a minute each time.
Mine was superbright one night last week but settled down to normal after about 5 mins.

I've had this happen to me every time I've taken the car in to the dealer.

Happens a couple of days later. And then I never see it happen again.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes more frequent. Take pictures of it if it does otherwise you might never be able to prove it happens.

it's happened to me as well, except it's a horizontal line and usually goes away by itself.

It looks like the LCD itself is fine, so it's probably just a loose connection and until it happens regularly, I doubt that there's anything we can do.

Happened to me crossing the story brisge the other evening. Vertical line, offset to the left. Seemed to be triggered hitting one of the road joints on the bridge. So loose connection would be a reasonable theory i suppose.

    Seems not uncommon!
