Air Quality Sensor for Mk5 Climatronic

    Hi everyone,

Is there any value in adding the Air Quality sensor to my Mk5 Climatronic without upgrading to the Mk6 unit?

It works quite well in my MY14 Tiguan and so I was thinking about adding it. I just don't know if I should do the Mk6 Climatronic at the same time.

I installed the MK7 panel and an air quality sensor. There is a MK5 panel available with air quality as well but didn't get to Australia. Value would be if you want it and how long you intent to keep the car.

Yeah, the MK5 panel can take the sensor because it's in the manual as an option. The sensor appears to be the same as for the Mk6 too.

I prefer the buttons and the 2-speed auto selection on the Mk6. Will it have better decision making skills? Or are the real smarts still buried in the brains of the car?

I bought the kit from bold-sport.com for a MK6 and made the surround out of the MK6 and MK7 panels.
