    Wheelnut key help 2009 Octavia

    Hi

I've lost my wheel nut key for 2009 Octavia rs. anyone have one I can use for 5 min.
I'm located everton park. I have no idea what the code is, I just need to remove the 4 bolts, one from each wheel, I have spare non- keyed nuts i'll use as temps.

    They're all different.

Take a photo of the wheel bolt, and post it up.

Worst case, take it to the dealer and have them use their master set to get the bolts off.

    Take it to the dealer.

You might be able to order a replacement. Earlier ones for the Mk4 and Mk5 Golfs, etc, have been discontinued.

Yep dealer is your friend, they aren't too expensive to get a new set. And the RS etc dont even come with them standard anymore.

You can buy the accessory anti-theft set, which replaces whatever anti-theft bolts are on the car, but it's around $120.

There's 4 different types of anti-theft bolts, depending on year model, with up to 10 different variations of each type. The oldest type, found in the T40004 master set, are no longer available through the parts network as individual replacements. The options then, are to go to the dealer and get them to remove the bolts with their master set, or have someone forcibly remove them (rendering them destroyed), and replace them with regular bolts, which are about $10ea, or the abovementioned accessory kit,.
