New battery day! The CT5 managed to keep the dead battery alive for a while, but after a few slow cranks while out thought best to sort it out.

Got a new Century (CYB) DIN65LH AGM for those playing at home.got it on charge now and will do top up/maintenance charges once a month.

Reading that the AGM battery should last a little longer but who knows in the current World we live in aye....

This is exactly what I do on both my cars each month or so. I have a CTEK MXS 5.0 and it does the job well, certainly cant be doing any harm.

    All Ctek'd up now.
Went with the CT5 so the Mrs can plug it in and can't charge in the wrong mode, but a people on Skodamodderz said the MXS5 was also Stop/Start ok.

This may be a silly question but do you have to disconnect the battery from the car before charging? Or can you charge whist battery is connected to the car?

    No silly questions mate.
There's a negative post on the fire wall, so I had it hard wired to that and the positive post on the battery and charged it that way.

Have a look on your manual as that's what I did at the time and pointed me to the firewall negative post. I changed while all connected.

Post Skoda Dealer service (60k) service
Dealer found a water leak, so they replaced the Waterpump and thermostat (Warranty)
    - Reinstall JB4
    - Compression test (all 155psi (cheap gauge))
    - Installed NGK Audi RS7 spark plugs.
Should I be worried about the one oil'ed up old plug?

The insulator, electrode and earth are all clean, so I wouldn't be concerned.

Not much to report lately, I have however removed the JB4 and its now for sale.
Plan is to get a PWR Intercooler and a custom tune in the coming months.
