Dealer called.... Provisional build week is 16. *sigh*. 3 month delay...
Wow! What did you order again?
I've sold my Golf, so car less now. Thankfully I can get by till Wednesday with no car. I have the kids in the bike trailer in the interim.
Tomorrow is d-day for my dealer.[emoji95] If he doesn't come up with a car for me through his dodgy deal, I'm cancelling my order....
My signature didn't appear somehow:
Ordered (Mid-sept 2014): Metal grey Octavia RS TSI hatch (MY15) | DSG |18" black pack | sunroof | tech pack | comfort pack
yeah I was told delivery around March-April.
Today they told me provisional week 16.. + 10 weeks for shipping, meaning around early July.. then it would be close to ..10 months!?!
I hope your dealer can really do some magic..
I wanted a Red TDI RS wagon, after being disappointed in the blandness of the candy white. Was told I couldn t have it in Red. Looked at the specs. and there was only 0.4 sec difference in the 0-100 times between the diesels and bought a Red Elegance TDI of the floor. Would have lost patience waiting 6 months for a delivery anyway.
OK, so, I have been given a build week (49 day 4) and a VIN number!!!!!! ;whoooohooo. Ordered Oct 14, Dec 8 build date with VIN number. Maybe I'll get it Feb or March 15!!! The dealer ordered their own car 2 months before mine and STILL haven't got a build week.... hahaha. LOOKS LIKE I FLUKED IT..
Might be. I ordered a sunroof, and my ambition plus is over 7 months..... Hopefully get it by Friday/sat. Assuming these bloody storms don't ruin it!
Have they given a firm date yet GTR?

Not yet. Still waiting on Patrick's to deliver car to the dealer. It showed as 'despatched' yesterday morning, but hadn't arrived as of yesterday arvo. Considering Brisbane to the GC is a 1-1.5hr drive, that's a hell of a detour it's made..... Fingers crossed the storms didn't get it while in transit.....
Dealer has been great, but man no one had any sense of urgency. Considering the car was released and requested last Thursday, that's a pretty piss poor turn around for such a short distance. I really need the invoice (supplied when car arrives at dealer and details confirmed) today in order to give the bank a chance to process the loan and pay it, so I could collect Saturday.... In other words, I'm not confident of collecting it this week, so yet another week rolls by, without the car, that's been in country for a month now.
These c*nts couldn't organise a root in a brothel....
Edit: so dealer had been excellent and chasing it, but everyone else is really dragging the chain....
