Gotta say the delays have forced me to look in another direction. I was very keen on an RS with all the trimmings but estimates are jan-feb 2015. Looking at getting a used R with low km's. Will probably reconsider the octavia in the future, but I would say by that point an A4 avant will get the nod.
Or if the fabled R wagon makes an appearance...
Cars will come with ACC for Australia so no delays in that...
BUT
My car will be built sometime in JULY 2014.. Meaning a month later, (ordered in May) as it was meant to be built week 22... With delivery in October sometime now... (Was Sept) bit more of a wait now eh...
Folding mirrors and grey stitching was something I pushed, it was very close to getting done (contacts with factory) but won't be available for Australian production! Damn... Was really close...

Am going to get onto my dealer asap about the new wheels, hopefully they become part of the black pack instead.
Looks like I slept and missed a year. Hopefully the factory orders help them forecast to start keeping some common stock in Australia.
Please for the love of god, keep some flippin manual cars in australia! If they were all the DSG6, I might have taken one, but no way would I take one with the handgrenade (DSG7)...

Unfortunately, if you graph it & put in a trendline (lineal or 6 month moving average) the projection is still downwards. They aren't doing any better than 2011 even if they can consistantly deliver 400 units a month. Keep in mind that Superb sales (and the supply of the vehicle) are almost non-existant at the moment.Quote:
