No, but it does shower you in glass when it shatters.

Thats what I thought, but its definitely not on when in the garage in pitch black. When you have the panaramic sunroof the car is pretty dark in a garage as there are only the map reading lights on. The lights on the CD slot and SD cards all light up but not the actual light, so I guess something isn't right there.

My glovebox light worked intermittently. Dealer fixed it and now comes on irrespective of headlights on/off.

Yeah I would think it pretty much would always come on. Will get the dealer to look at it when I get time. Also noticing that the seat up/down lever doesn't want to go down a lot of the time. At first I thought the seat must already be at the lowest position. If you force it or make it go up first it works. SOmething feels like its caught.

I noticed this is in AC menu recently. I guess early on they thought of moving the handbrake for RHD (ala the mk2) and then decided it'd cost too much?

TBH I kinda like having the cupholders closer, but I have long arms.

I've wondered about the handbrake position as most of the other Skodas still have it close to the driver. I find I can't use the cupholders as I hit my arm on them changing gears. A DSG user probably wouldn't worry too much. I thought recently that the ADR required it to be on the drivers side so not sure how they got it through. I originally was glad they stuck with a real handbrake but in hindsight the electric one would have meant more room for other things there.

I think it's most likely they just used a left hand drive image and reversed the sides for the background image.

I wonder if the UK have the handbrake there or on the passenger side like ours.
