Hmm, I'm not convinced - why do the stock coils work fine for APR tunes?
I am aware of three people with Revo Stage I & II tunes that are misfiring

You can get misfires with any tune (and also stock).
If you have VCDS or other diagnostic tool you can find out which cylinder is misfiring. Then swap coil packs on this cylinder and see if the fault moves. If it does move cylinders then you know you have a dodgy coil pack.
If not then you have to start digging a little deeper.
However it is not uncommon for coil packs to cause misfires and relatively quick and easy to diagnose/fix.

So got the new coil packs installed yesterday and also removed the torque arm insert/dog bone.... Definitely smoother coz of no T.A.I... will monitor over the next week to see if the coil packs have helped also...
Over xmas I think im going to try and dynamat the boot and under the rear seat... few noises and rattles that i want to get rid of..... Is it hard to remove all the fixtures and rear seat...??
So a bit of an update...
I recently completed the rest of the exhaust system after doing the downpipe around 6 months ago for stage 2... The result is beasty... especially when giving it a bit of boot...
Bit of trial and error as the first system was waayy to loud, but now im fairly happy with the result... Probably could be 10-20% quieter coz being a wagon doesnt help with sound in the cabin (as all wagon owners know) and it does drone a bit but only when accelerating - cruisng is quiet....
Its now a full 3" system with a resonator (not to sure what kind of resonator tho)... What are peoples thoughts with quieting it down a bit more and a bit less of that drone...?? Would going to a 2.75" cat back do it...?? Add a bigger/better resonator..?? thoughts...??
I have added soundproofing since and it made a big difference and now cruising on the freeway is super quiet... also muffled the exhaust sound, but as mentioned, just want it that 10-20% quieter if possible...
Here is a clip.
The exhaust shop (trufit exhausts in cheltenham/moorabbin) has been super helpful and understanding so next time I go there im hoping it will be the last...
In terms of other mods, the only other thing I can think of doing is the DSG tune which will have to wait for a few more funds..
2.75 vs 3" won't make much difference to drone. Having resonators and mufflers in the right spot will. I'm not an exhaust guy but have heard of people putting a wax line the length of the exhaust and where standing waves are (drone) it melts the wax and you cut that part out and put a resonator/muffler there. The exhaust place should be able to help out though. Sureflo in Sydney are very good in commodore circles for drone free custom exhausts.

Starting to understand these things a bit more now and I have spoken with my exhaust place again and they are going to investigate it for me so I can take it in next week to quieten it down more.
Will post up results... Im hoping to bring it down by another 25% as I only really wanted a bit louder than stock with some performance improvement and cleaner power delivery which it has given me...
Hopefully it all works out and it will be a valuable lesson learnt for my next car as I have more knowledge now about what is available...
