    The beast so far

    Hey all,

So I thought I would let you guys know how im going with my car... Verrrry happy with the car after upgrading from a Mk5 GTI...

Car is a 2010 RS Wagon with leather and sunroof...

So far managed to the following to the car:
    Eibach lowered springs
Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar - set on medium
Torque arm insert from dub addiction
    Bluefin tune
    Plastidipped front grill black
    Plastidipped wheels black
    Plastidipped rear octavia badge

    Still to come/happen:
Front lip - approx 2 weeks away
    Dump pipe
Tint front windows to match the rest of the std tint - or re-do it all

The suspension set up, together with the bluefin and torque arm insert has completely changed the car... so much more lively... lots more grip taking off and booting it out of corners.... and that swaybar is worth 5 times its worth for cornering...

Here are some pics I took at night - will get some more done in better light...

    Looks great...

What is this torque arm insert?
Is it what we call the dog bone insert?
I tried 2 and removed them due to cabin reverberations (reverse was really bad)

Yep must be the same thing then, coz yes, reverse is bad, but its getting much better... I didnt get a massivly strong one, just medium softness, so as long as over the next 1000kms (only done around 400kms in it so far) it gets progressively better which is what I have been told, it should be fine...

If not, very easy to take out...

Wheels came up awesome. Keen to see it in the flesh soon, come pick up your dash plate when you want

I've got a torque arm insert on the way. I am sure the dog bone is a different one Martin, read somewhere some others said they ended up doing both

Yeah - it's the same part - the dog bone insert
I'm tempted to try a third one but it has to be a lot softer

Well I dont know how the other ones were but not knowing what this part was to begin with, when I got it and had a look at it, I was like, "uummm... this is going to prevent the engine from moving under stress etc...?" it felt like silicon and very flexible... Amazing how it changed the feel....

Yes - the standard bushing flexes a lot - this insert does make the power delivery better
(I just could not live with the negative effects)
They come in 3 different durometer ratings
