Try one of these if you can wait?

Hi everyone,
Today I met a new speed hump on Gannon St in Tempe. It's nasty...traveling at only 30km/h you'll be airborne and the sump cover will have a nice gouge...enough to spring a leak.
I'm no mechanic, and plan to take it to the Wolfsburg Motors (St. Peters) on Monday to get fixed.
Any idea how much these are to replace and if they are actually repairable?
...just when everything else had finally been fixed!
Troy.

Choice! I wonder if these are available locally?
I take it that the Jetta IV VR6 24v has the same engine as the Bora V5 Auto?
Troy.
I doubt you can by them OTS locally, but try a few forum sponsors. I brought parts for my v5 that fit the 24v vr6, i'm pretty sure the only difference is a missing cylinder? someone might confirm with more detail.
no, one being a 2.3 V5 and the other a 2.8 V6
i doubt parts would work being a different sized engine
did you mean the sump itself or a cover under the car? im guessing the sump as its leaking, id be hitting the local shire up for compo if its that bad and doesnt met AUS standards
Do the V5 sumps hang down past the subframe...?
