hey neil, i only signed up in the last few months and your thread was the first one i read, it's also the longest one i've rad so far, and it's really opened up my eyes to the potentional of what is capable of the mk4's. I've always loved the look of them but thought they were more a show than go car. :wasntme:
Sooooo very mistaken. but what a thread.

Well there has been a total lack of progress on my car due to other higher priorities. Now that I've crossed some of lifes bigger hurdles and the dust has begun to settle, it’s about time I returned my focus back to my beloved beastie. I'm about to kick off the first round of works in preparation for more powaaaaaaaaah.
The gear box will be coming out for the Peliquin Limited Slip Differential Kit and also the ECS - Stage 1 Clutch Kit (228mm) With Light Weight Steel ECS 14lbs Flywheel rated for 225-275hp.
Whilst I'm at it I'll also be fitting the ECS - Tuning Ultimate 1.8T Timing Belt Kit Combo With Red Under Drive Pulley Kit.
I have had a slight change in where I'm headed turbo wise. More detail on that shortly but I will be pushing the new clutch to the extremities whilst maintaining daily driveability.
More to follow shortly...
Waiting in anticipation man :)
Woo hoo, good to see this one cranking over again.
Cheers,
Trent
I'm a bit excited to get this cranking over again also. Stage 1 will be done in the next 2 weeks.... bwahahahahaha :driver:
You'd better have it running in some form for the nationals weekend Neil. :)
