MKIV Offset?
Hi all
I own a Mk4 1.6L Golf, and Im not to sure what the current offset is with the wheels, so I don't know how much space I have to play with, so I am hoping you can help
The wheels I have found are 17'x7.5', what would be the best offset to run with this?? I would like it to run close to flush, but don't really want to have to do work to the car to make them fit!
Hope this makes sense...
Cheers
Harry

how low are you? I wouldnt go looking for crazy fitment on a 7.5 wheel.
Stock height id be aiming for et30-35, lowered will depend how low and tyre size.
My stock wheels were 15x6 with a et38 if that gives you something to start with

At the moment I am at stock height, I would be looking at lowering it once the wheel is fitted and I can see how it looks.
I would rather run spaces then start having to mess around with things... so i need to make the right decision lol

i'm running audi tt rims (17x7.5 +32 offset)
They're pretty flush on the front but could use a 10-15mm spacer on the back to make it flush.
I'm lowered about 50mm on coilovers but that offset would sit slighter wider (correct me if i'm wrong) at a more standard height
-
If that is the case (of wheels sitting wider when at standard height), what offset should i be looking at??
With the +32 offset make the front wheels poke at standard height?

onthe mk4s the fronts 'suck' in and rears get a bit of camber up and roll forwards as you go lower.
7.5'' et 35 should be fine on stock hieght with 215s or 225/45s up front, then as you lower throw some spacers on. But remember spacers are not legal if your into that side of thing
