    MK4 GTI 1.8T - Duty Cycle

    Hey guys,

I've had some little issues with my partners GTI 1.8T lately with idling, I've been told the injectors need recoding however I'm unsure of all the workshop codes etc to do this in VCDS and also don't know my login code

Anyways long story short I just had some of the beas group things up and noticed my duty cycle is at 99% while im accelerating full throttle. Is this something to be worried about? I was under the impression you would never want your injectors on their limit due to them leaning out

The car drives fine just won't idle properly so if anyone has some tips on recoding the injectors that would be great too

There's no need to code injectors on the AGU.

Look for airleaks if it's idling badly.

Yes air leaks would be where I would be looking too. So many old hoses, brake booster line is probably the culprit, there are a few joins on it, one way valves etc, at each junction the pipe thins. I used a some 13mm heater hose over the rigid pipe to stop a lot of leaks on mine. Mackay Heater Hose - 13mm, 1.5m | Supercheap Auto
