yeh cheers for that Stu, i was under the disillusion that they had crammed 4 cams into the VR head :eek: bit of a tight squeeze dont you think? The R32/36 motor has the same 15 degree angle, is this also a two cam arrangement aswell? (sorry to go off topic!)Quote:

Any engine swop in a Mk4 is fraught with difficulty. The only one I would consider was if you had a real nice 1.6 that you wanted to put a V5 or something in that came from a Mk4 / Bora chassis.
Then I`d want the whole donor car and would swop every loom over in front of the fusebox. You`d need the ecu, key and column from the donor car to make it work.
I have all these parts from a wrecked V5 and would have put em all in an Ibiza if it was that easy. Its all here if someone feels the uge for a V5 Mk4. :biggrin:

It's already been stated that a lightly tuned 20VT will pump a VR6!

If you want a VR6 in a mk4, buy a bora!

man if you want a vr6 buy a mk3 vr6...it you want a mk4 buy a mk4 gti...
slap a turbo on the vr6 and you will be laughing!!!!!
crank the boost and get a chip on the gti and you will also be laughing...past everyone else...
