Hey everyone,
Went to change the plugs on the wifes 1.6 on the weekend, and involved me staring blankly at the block for 10 minutes trying to LOCATE the plugs before swearing and then retreating upstairs feeling very unmanly.
I have now located where the plugs are, but they have a metal extension on the top of them.
So I searched the interwebs and I found people using the following tool to remove the 'metal extension' things ontop of the plugs:
It seems to be used for changing the plugs on a vr6, but people are saying you need it for the 1.6L aswell. Are there any australian sellers? Is the T10029 the right tool for the 1.6?
Since its a pain in the ass to change the plugs, maybe I should jam in some platinums and forget about them.
Can someone give me some advice as to how to tackle this job?
A tutorial would be great with pictures.
